Text Messaging (SMS) Privacy
2.2 If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive text messages from Overwatch MSP, we use your number and the content of our conversations only to communicate with you about our services: support requests, scheduling, account and service notices, and replies to your questions.
2.3 We do not sell, rent or share your mobile phone number, or your text messaging opt-in data and consent, with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information shared with service providers is limited to what they need to deliver our messages (for example, our messaging carrier and communications platform) and is not used by them for their own marketing.
2.4 Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, or get help by replying HELP. See our Terms of Service for the full text messaging terms.
How customers opt in to text messages
2.5 Overwatch MSP collects opt-in verbally at their locations or over the phone. When a customer is registered for the first time, they are asked to provide the phone number, and staff is trained to ask if the customer would like to opt in to SMS-based notifications. They will be verbally informed that “Message and data rates may apply”, “Message frequency may vary”, and they can “text HELP for support or more information and STOP to unsubscribe at any time”. They will also be informed that their phone number will not be shared with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.
